State Regulated Mobile Notary Fee

Florida law states that the fee of a notary public may not exceed $10 for any one notarial act, except as otherwise provided by law. This state-regulated notary fee is separate from mobile service charges, travel, printing, witnesses, rush handling, after-hours service, document coordination, and other professional service fees.

Example 1 One signer with one document requiring one notarization equals $10.00 for the notarial act before any mobile service or appointment fees.
Example 2 Two signers on one document equals $20.00. If two pages require notarization for both signers, the notarial act total is $40.00 before other service fees.

Apostille and Authentication Notes

Florida Apostille Rules and Resources

Florida Statutes § 15.16 authorizes the Secretary of State to issue apostilles that conform to the Hague Convention of 1961. The Florida Department of State states that the Florida Secretary of State is the competent authority for Florida notarial and apostille certifications. Hague countries use apostilles; non-Hague countries may require authentication or additional legalization steps.

  • 1Documents are submitted directly to the Secretary of State for applicable Florida apostille or authentication processing. If your document originated from another state outside the State of Florida, TIP Notary Specialists will coordinate with that state's Secretary of State to have your documents apostilled or authenticated.
  • 2Government fees, shipping, translation, embassy, and federal processing fees are separate from TIP Notary Specialists service pricing.
  • 3The destination country and receiving authority determine whether a Hague apostille, non-Hague authentication, or additional legalization process is required.
  • 4For international apostille convention information, review the HCCH Apostille Convention resource.
